\r\nMSc in Mechanical Engineering in June 1999 and PhD Diploma in Energy Engineering and Innovative industrial technologies in June 2003 at University of Florence. Research Fellow (1 year) and Fixed-Term Assistant Professor (3+3 years) at the University of Florence from 2004 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy. From 2016 to 2019, Assistant Professor at the University of Pisa (Fluid Machines and Energy Systems). Since 2019, Associate Professor at the University of Pisa (Fluid Machines and Energy Systems). National Academic Qualification as Full Professor (in 2018) in the field of Fluid Machines and Energy Systems.

\r\nHonors & Awards
\r\nWinner of the \u201cSergio Stecco\u201d grant for his PhD thesis as a distinguished study in the turbomachinery field. Winner of the \"Premio Carmelo Caputo\" grant for the paper \u201cPyrometric estimation of the valve temperature of an Internal Combustion Engine\u201d presented at 65\u00b0 ATI conference, 2010. Winner of 6 Best Paper Awards for papers presented at ASME Turbo Expo Conference in the field of Wind Energy and Measurement techniques. Winner of the Outstanding Service Award for the Controls, Diagnostics and Instrumentation Committee (ASME Turbo Expo).
