The Master's programme provides advanced training in the application of artificial intelligence to Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, with a focus on the analysis, interpretation and effective use of archaeological data and contexts. It integrates archaeological expertise with computational and data-driven approaches.
The curriculum combines theoretical and practical training in AI, including Large Language Models, with computational methods for archaeology, covering data analysis, programming and the management of complex datasets, including images, texts, spatial data and 3D models. It also addresses digital documentation techniques and emerging tools for the automated analysis and monitoring of archaeological contexts.
The programme prepares graduates to develop computational and AI models for data interpretation, design digital tools and infrastructures, and support research, conservation and public engagement with cultural heritage.
